Australia have made a couple of changes in their playing XI. 19-year-old Sam Konstas is set to take make his debut for Australia, whereas Scott Boland comes in for injured Josh Hazlewood. Former Australia captain Mark Taylor presents Sam Konstas with the 468th baggy green cap as the young opener is all set to make his debut in Test cricket. Whereas, India have made one change Shubman Gill misses out and Washington Sundar comes in. Team India captain Rohit Sharma confirmed at the toss that he will be opening the innings.
With the conditions likely to wear out the pitch quicker, India could opt for a second spinner in Washington Sundar, pushing Gill into a probable toss-up with Nitish Kumar Reddy for one spot. Meanwhile, Australia are punting on another opening debutant in Sam Konstas while Scott Boland returns, replacing the injured Josh Hazlewood.
